For this, innovations have been made in our chips production line, chips and fries processed through our special deoiling & drying machine will retain less oil than the ordinary chips, with a crunchy & light.
Automatic Potato Chips Manufacturing Process
100kg/h potato chips line is automatic from feeding to discharging, and there are 14 procedures in processing potato chips and fries: lifting and feeding- washing and peeling- selecting- feeding- cutting into chips or strips- rinsing- blanching- cooling- drying to remove water- continuous frying- dehydrating to remove excess oil- selecting- flavoring- packaging- discharging.
1. Lifting and feeding
Elevator 1 can automatically lift potato into cleaning peeling machine. The elevator is specially customized for automatic potato chips production line, all you need to do is putting potatoes on the feeding hopper, the potatoes will be conveyed evenly and continuously into the next procedure. It is labor saving, convenient and practicable.
2. Screw-type potato washing peeling machine
The potatoes are loaded in the screw-type washing peeling machine for constant mechanized cleaning. Its working principle is by rotating helical blade to peel and the equipped water to wash out the dirt on potato.
● Screw-type potato cleaning machine is the improved version of nylon brush cleaning equipment and is hugely used in peeling round or oval fruit & vegetable.
● This machine is mainly made up of the motor, speed transmission, and brush roller.
●The machine body is made up of 304 stainless steel, environment-friendly, and long shelf life.
Through the transmission of mesh belt, the unpeeled or broken potato will be picked out in selecting a machine.
After picking, place the clean product into the feeding inlet of elevator 2 and the product is prepared to be cut.
5. Slicing or stripping
The potato will fall into the cutting machine and would be cut into thin chips or fries by using different blades. The processed chips or strips have a smooth surface without damage.

● The cutting thickness is adjustable, from 0.5 to 10 mm.
● This slicing machine could be employed in cutting a potato, sweet potato, taro, radish, carrot, eggplant, etc.
● This machine could be used independently in the restaurant, school canteen, hotel.
Water rinsing can remove potato starch which is released from potato cutting. Air bubble washing machine is equipped with a bubble generator which can imitate rubbing by hand, the blast and spray are also set up to ensure a complete cleaning for potato.

● The machine has impurities filter and impurities outlet which can filter out the floating dross, while the bottom residue will be removed through the drain valve.
● The air bubble washing machine has the feature of rinsing thoroughly, energy-saving, water saving, and operation stability.
● Suitable for cleaning dirt & pesticide on vegetable or fruit, cooling products after blanching, and soaking materials in solution.
Through stainless steel mesh belt’s transmission, potato fries will be blanched to improve product color and remove the strange smell. The blanching machine applies steam to soften, sterilize and enhance product’s brightness and crispness.

● The heat source can be gas heat, electricity-heat, etc. And the temperature is functioned automatically by the digital control system.

● Suitable for blanching all kinds of fruit and vegetable.
When blanching, the chips’ temperature is high, the cooling machine can quickly reduce the temperature of potato and prevent adhesion. The scattered potato chips by air bubble rolling are good for following uniform frying.

9. Air drying
As the potato fries move and repeated flip along the stainless steel mesh belt, the chips are dried evenly by the multifaceted wind. The working principle is by blower sending high-pressure air to remove the surface water of potato, the air nozzle is air knife-shaped which can increase the air pressure and shorten drying time.
● Air drying is a necessary step which can reduce the potential for oil splatter, and the frying time is shortened accordingly.
● The air drying machine is a nice choice for drying bagged product after the sterilizing line.
The dehydrated chips can be frying in frying machine full automatically. The frying machine has 3 heating methods like electric heat, coal heat and gas heat, its heat efficiency can up to 95%. In addition to frying french fries, the broad bean, puffed food, flour food, etc can be processed by a frying machine, too.

● The whole body is 304 stainless steel designed, durable and no rust.
● Equipped with automatic temperature control and overheating protection device, intelligent processing, and safe frying.
● Automatic oil residue filter system can remove carbide and keep the oil clarified, therefore the oil could be recycling used and the chips quality is high.
The fried potato chips’ excess oil will be blown off by air drying machine. Besides drying moisture, air drying machine is suitable for removing oil, and the machine is equipped with the tray on the bottom which can collect the excess oil to reuse.
● The machine’s tuyere is air knife-shaped, which will increase the air pressure and blow off excess oil in a short time
● High oil-remove rate and low breakage rate.
Select again on stainless steel mesh belt and pick out the burnt or incomplete chips, the belt is working continuously with low energy consumption which is convenient for sorting.

The flavoring drum is equipped with season hopper which can automatically spread spices into the rolling barrel. The working method is by barrel rotating at a constant rate to flavor potato chips.
● There is filter net under discharging outlet for collecting the rest of seasons.
● The operation is simple and highly mechanized, high mixing uniformity without damage.
● The machine can flavor many foods like potato crisps, french fries, and salty peanut, etc and largely applied in food processing factory.
Full automatic packaging machine can fill & seal 50 bags of products in one minute at the same time. It can complete weighing, filling, packaging and conveying in one continuous line. The machine also has an advanced programmer controlled system, servo motor, and touch-sensitive screen to realize more functions like counting, date printing and conveying, etc.
